Q & A
When I meet with a new client, I always...

Listen.  My job is to tell their story through their home, whether it reflects who they are, or who they want to be.  I leave them my "style files" of magazine photos to review and they choose their favorite's.  I also give them a fun questionnaire.  With the conversations, photos, and questionnaire, their story begins to take shape...

To get a stylish look on a small budget...

Paint!  It is cheap, fast, and easy.  It can create drama and magically transform spaces.  You can also buy expensive pieces you love, and mix up the room with flea-market finds, found treasures, and Pier 1, Ikea, World Market, or Target accessories.  It's not about price, it's about individuality!

To transform a room on a budget of zero...

That’s right, ZERO. Redesign, is the use-what-you-have idea of decorating that transforms rooms by skillfully rearranging what is already in the home. I have seen people cry, scream , and jump up and down with excitement over a redesigned room. There is something amazing about seeing your furnishings come together. I love the challenge of using  the clients things in fresh and unexpected  places.

I change my own home...

Not very often.  I update with current accessories using new colors and textures.  My office is my experimental room where I test new ideas.

My favorite room to design...

I like them all and if I have to choose it would be the living area.  This is where people spend most of their time and my design will affect their daily lives.

My personal dream house would be...

A glass and wood contemporary architecture, lake or oceanside one level home.  It would have soft contemporary furnishings, fireplaces, and a courtyard with a spool. (Spa/Pool).

Every home must have...

A heart, a soul, and a story!
